Marbell Garth – Burton-in-Kendal

Located in Burton-in-Kendal, Marbell Garth is a bespoke family home designed and built to provide exceptional comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term practicality. The clients had previously lived in Kendal but were keen to move out of town and create a home entirely of their own design.

Unable to find a suitable property on the market, they decided to build from scratch, creating a modern timber-frame house finished with stone facing and thin-coat render to reflect the character of the surrounding landscape.

Having previously worked with Dan on timber-frame construction, the client already knew Wilson Builds’ reputation for strong work ethic, high standards, and dependable craftsmanship. That existing relationship provided the confidence needed to move forward with the project.

The brief was to create a well-insulated, economical home that would perform efficiently while offering generous, comfortable living spaces. Delivered smoothly and on schedule, the build progressed according to plan, meeting both the client’s expectations and their budget.

More than four years after completion, the home continues to perform exactly as intended; warm, efficient and a pleasure to live in, demonstrating the lasting quality of the build.
