Bottoms Lane – Silverdale

Situated in the village of Silverdale, Bottoms Lane is a beautifully restored limestone cottage dating back to 1862. Having lived in the property for over 30 years, the homeowners wanted to create a warmer, brighter and more accessible home while retaining the character and charm that had made it special for decades. Having seen the care and craftsmanship Wilson Builds had demonstrated on a nearby project. Following recommendations from friends and neighbours, they felt confident entrusting Dan and the team with the transformation of their home.
Working alongside HPA Architects, Wilson Builds delivered a full renovation and wrap-around extension, carefully blending new living spaces with the original cottage. Extensive limestone excavation, varying site levels and the challenge of integrating a modern extension with a historic building required considerable skill and attention to detail throughout. Completed in 2026, Bottoms Lane successfully combines traditional character with contemporary comfort, creating a home that is brighter, more practical and better suited to modern living.

“We now have a house which has exceeded our expectations. The character of the house has been retained and enhanced, and we have been amazed at the level of craftsmanship shown by every member of Dan’s team. We have no hesitation in saying they have been fantastic.”
